The core of all pagan and false religious systems of belief lead back to the Tower of Babel.

 

All of them.

 

We are told that the Tower of Babel was built "to reach unto heaven" with the intent of "men to make a name for themselves." (Genesis 11:4)

Contrary to fringe beliefs, it wasn't some sort of stargate.  And contrary to literal interpretation, nor was it a tower built to literally rise higher than the moon and into space. It was a tower, yes, but it was a ziggurat-type altar based on the perverse worship of fallen deities after their physical demise from the deluge of Noah.

The reason it is said that the Tower of Babylon was built to "reach unto heaven" was because its intent was to be an alternate way to attain eternal life, based on man-made religion, rather than God's way. Since the beginning, mankind has rebelled and chosen to do things their own way.

 

The Fallen Ones from heaven that utterly corrupted the civilizations of pre-deluge mankind, were (and still are) all too happy to oblige men in their path to destruction.  They deceived mankind into believing that there was an alternate way to eternal life without having to go through God, by simply re-directing the men's worship and obeisance through and to themselves (the Fallen Ones).

But God has already told us that the only way to eternal life is through Him and that any other attempt is perverse, false and corrupt, which will only lead to death.   Period.

 

And God cannot lie.

Because of their very nature, the Fallen Ones can only deceive, and the modus operandi of their deception is to mix a bit of truth in with their lies.  The same tactic that was used in the beginning by the father of lies to deceive Eve in the Garden.

At the diaspora of men from the Tower of Babel, God divided mankind into 70 nations, setting a governing spiritual entity over each. The setting of these spiritual authorities were for God's purposes of governance and order in the spiritual realm, but men, in their ignorance, worshipped the governing entities as their gods.

The Babel religious "system" is similar all over the world because that's where it originated and it originated with Nimrod who was the grandson of Ham, whom God cursed. Both of these men were of the spirit of Cain, whom we are told is of the spiritual seed of the serpent (also referred to as the evil one).
 

We are told that Nimrod "began to be a gibborim" (gibbwor), which basically means he began to resurrect the corruption of the Fallen Ones (Nephil, Nephilim, mighty ones) that was rampant throughout the earth before the deluge.  Evilness, rebellion and tinkering with the natural order of things was perpetuated by the Fallen Ones to such a degree that the only way to salvage the whole of creation-- plants, animals and people-- which had become utterly corrupted at that point (namely:  DNA corruption and the way genes express themselves), was to destroy the whole of it, save for 8 human beings and a boat load of animals that were still genetically intact.  (*These would have been animals at the "Family" classification of biological order, in which the two remaining sub-classifications of "Genus", followed by "Species" would have branched out post-deluge as each "Family" of animals adapted to their new climate and environment.  That is how all known animals can be accounted for as to having "fit" onto the boat.)
 

Bear in mind, that when the Apostles asked Jesus when He would return, His reply was that it would be "like in the days of Noah".

Food for thought for those who aware of the genetic aberrations being perpetuated over the last couple of decades in the name of science, medicine and food productivity.

Nimrod and his attempt to resurrect the "Atlantis golden age" through the building of huge cities, and reintroducing methods of government, orders of trade and systems of religion-- all ways of the Fallen Ones that were meant to enslave men-- were an abomination to God.

Thus, God's solution at the time of Babel to prolong the inevitable total corruption these things wrought among the children of men, was to divide men and their understanding and scatter them throughout the globe. The confusion of similar governmental, trade and religious concepts, but different names and details for each would give mankind the time it needed to reach the appointed point-in-time for the way to salvation to play itself out (Jesus to be born and His death to be accomplished), for iniquity to reach its fullness in both houses of God 

(1. ancient Israel and the Law of Moses; 2. the Church and the age of grace), and for the stage to be set (as it had already been appointed since the beginning of time) for the culmination of all things.

One of the greatest slaps-in-the-face to God is goddess worship. For it is through the deception of woman that the evil one gained authority in this domain. Women are inclined to be ruled by their emotions, and although the evil one's target was Adam--the first of creation, and theoretically the mirror reflection of God-- his clever plan of attack was through that nature of emotion which was divided from Adam-- the second of human creation, Eve-- both of whom comprehensively reflected God and His nature.  God's authority, leadership and strength reflected in Adam; His emotion, tenderness and nurturing life-giving potential reflected in Eve.
 

Women were not created to be second to men. The human creation--man and woman-- were created to reflect the totality of God (Who is a servant even unto Himself through Jesus Christ), yet divisible by flesh. That is one of the many things inferred by God when He said the two are to BECOME one flesh-- together, man and woman reflect the totality of God's nature.

 

Man was created XY.  Woman, who was taken from that image, was the division of that image in flesh, hence women being XX-- a duplicate of half of XY man.  In the beginning, it was Adam who was given authority over creation, not Eve.  And most certainly not the evil one who gained it through deception. 

Even Jesus reflected God's nature as shown in the original intent of the relationship of man and woman-- to care for and serve EACH OTHER.
Because Jesus is God --(God as the anthropomorphic image He chose to interact with us), His very existence made Him a servant even unto HIMSELF-- (God as the essence in which we cannot comprehend or look upon).

Men cannot comprehend this because in their mind, one has to be subservient to the other. But this is not the case.

Because God exists outside of creation, Jesus is God's projection of Himself into creation to interact with it. They are one and the same, but different manifestations. Through God's plan for the salvation of men, Jesus served Himself and the whole of creation by His incarnation into flesh, His ministry and His death of atonement for all sin. The judgment was incurred by a human, therefore it could only be atoned for by a human. But in this case, it was God encompassed in the human flesh of His own creation. A loophole the evil one never anticipated.
