problem vs. possibility

January 15,2014

Stop focusing on the problem, and start looking for the possibilities.  Don't miss the beauty of the present because of discontent.  Only God can fill the void that drives our tendency towards discontent.

Discontent is God giving us an orange and us handing it back to Him saying, "Peel it."  God will ALWAYS supply our NEEDS, and SOMETIMES supply our WANTS.  There will always be someone who has more than you.  Be content with having your NEEDS met and stop being distracted by your WANTS.

He is the Potter, we are the clay.  What right does the clay have to say to the Potter anything else but a word of gratitude?  Let us suffer through the grains of sand that irritate and abraise us.  As we begin our suffering in ignorance, let our faith carry us through to acquiring the knowledge and understanding of the revelation of having become transformed by His glory into an eternal pearl.  Let us toil in the mines of ignorance to collect the jewels of wisdom.  For as we toil in the darkness, His light shines through us to illuminate our way.

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalm 119:105)

"I have come as a Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me will not remain in darkness." (John 12:46)

"I am the Light of the world; he who follow Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (John 8:12)

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." (2 Cor 3:18)

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and hope.  Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find Me when you serch for Me with all your heart.'" (Jer 29:11)
